The picture right above represents the amount of money women make compared to men. The 78 cents is a little outdated but it has only improved to 82 cents per dollar a man makes.
Women simply do not make that much money simply because they are women. They will get discriminated and stereotypically evaluated for a job specifically because of their sex.
"Women jobs" (Librarian, Teaching, Nursing) pay less than "men jobs" (engineering, lawyer, construction).
When it comes to a jobs that are predominantly females, women will more likely hire a woman over a man, same thing goes for men.
Women globally lack in pursuing jobs where management and decision making is involved.
Women simply do not make more money because they are woman. Essentially, women make less money than men doing the same job with the same level of education. Maybe the bigotry of a woman not needing that much money because a man will take care of her still has not diminished even in this generation.
I believe when a woman becomes president or becomes significantly more involved with policy making, then there will be more women in higher paying jobs and the wage pay gap will also diminish. If women made as much as women, then it would fuel our economy because they will have more money to spend.
